I have a love and fascination with color, texture, and novel designs. I hope you experience luxury yarns and chic embellishments in my handmade, one-of-a-kind art pieces and express your own sense of style with a piece that delights you. The pieces I show here are a few examples of my work. I am creating new pieces all the time.
What inspires me:
Nothing intrigues me as much as the desert vistas of the Southwest, with their broad open spaces, clean air, and fascinating flora and fauna. I felt desert living was my destiny. Art is everywhere, and that combined with the fascinating culture of the area and the vibrancy of colors spurred me to become an active participant in the art scene.
Shortly after arriving in New Mexico in 2004, I took a weaving class and my latent creative talent was launched. I love weaving, so my design ideas and ways of combining color and texture in my work seem boundless.
My work consists of hand made, one of a kind creations, that include wraps done on a triangular loom, as well as colorful, textural, sophisticated table runners done on a small custom floor loom. Wraps are the perfect layering pieces to add a little warmth to those cool days and evenings year round, or to make you more comfortable when transitioning from outdoors to indoor air conditioning in summer. They are versatile, convenient, and attractive accessories to take with you anywhere! Table runners are art pieces for the home, unique accessories that add color, design, and are conversation pieces because of their complexity. They can also function as wall hangings, or even as wraps! Let your imagination go.

Artistic Medium:
My wraps and shawls are done by "continuous" weaving on a frame loom, forming both warp and weft at the same time. I work with one to five yarns in each of my pieces, generally using two to four strands at the same time to create interesting color and texture, and incorporate semi-precious beads and ribbons from around the world. Wrap size is approximately 68" long by 33" wide at the widest point. My table runners are created on a small floor loom and are made with as many as 20 types of yarns, fibers, and ribbons, the color and fiber sequencing creating complex textural patterns. Table runners are various sizes. I use only the finest yarns and almost exclusively natural fibers. I work diligently to ensure that my finished products are complementary to a variety of styles, color choices, and decor.
